In exchange how do I download old messages to my laptop?

I have a laptop and a notebook, which both picked up outlook email messages
under the old POP3 computer.

Now that we are on exchange it appears to be a race to see which PC picks up
the message first.

Is there a way to (say) redownload the last 30 days of messages onto my
laptop, when I'm on the road. Is there a way to keep the two files
synchronized?

Your help appreciated.

Having an Exchange account means that you have a mailbox on the server and
you can connect to it via multiple clients; Outlook will keep on offline
cache so that you can review your mail while disconnected.

My guess is that you have set your default delivery location to an pst-file
instead of your Exchange mailbox.
