Does anyoneknow how to import a PP slide show into a Word document and get
only TWO big slides per page instead of the three small ones it does by
default?

From PowerPoint, try Send to Word in the File menu. You should have some
options, including two slides per page.

Thanks for your quick reply. When I do that I get lines or notes next to
the slide. Is there any way to get only the slides and only two of them?
Thanks again, Sandy

Hi Sandy,

If you have PowerPoint 2000 or newer ...

The SlideIntoWord add-in that I wrote allows you to choose the slide image
size. So, you can have slides images any size from 3/4 inch up to 6 inches
in width. By selecting a size that gives you two per page, you should be
able to get the results you want. It also does some other pre-formatting of
the Word document. There is a free demo version available at

Wow...you work for Microsoft and you wrote this on your own? I hope they buy
it from you for lots of money! Thanks so much for sendning the lin and the
advice -- I'll definitely give it a try. Thanks again, Sandy

Sandy,

Bill is great. Bill does not work for Microsoft. You can make your own
judgement about whether or not the two are related. Bill is a Microsoft
PowerPoint MVP (see http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00094.htm). That
means he is a user of PowerPoint who knows a lot about PowerPoint and
shares his knowledge and talents with the rest of us.

LOL.

No Sandy, as David said I do not work for Microsoft. In other words, I'm
just a PowerPoint user who had a problem and solved it, then thought maybe
other people would benefit from this solution. I used PowerPoint->Word at
least twice a week and got tired of the huge file size it generates. So, I
built a solution, added a bit more flexibility, and it grew from there.

Hope it solves your difficulty,
Bill D.

See, there are actually TWO Bills.

One of them owns Microsoft and definitely gets paid lots of money. He must not
love us 'cause he never comes by for a visit. Or even writes.

Our Bill is the lower-priced (but higher-quality) one.
