I found jeridbohmann's thread
(http://groups.google.ca/group/micro...to+Outlook+2000&rnum=9&hl=en#4108a00eae6671b3)
discussing .pst file importation from Outlook 2003 into Outlook 2000 ...
my situation has a little twist ... we lost an XP OS on a SATA HDD and can
now only 'see' the '03 files (and everything else on the SATA HDD, which has
effectively become a storage drive - unless and until we can get it past a
STOP: 0x0000007E BSOD, a whole 'nuther story) from a new XP OS on a new HDD
.... however, we have no 2003 CD to re-install from ... only the 2000 disc.
Outlook 2000 pukes when attempting to import the '03 files and I can think
of no practical way to do any file copying / conversions on the '03 files w/o
actually being able to run '03. Any thoughts? Thanks much

YOu will need Outlook 2003 to convert the .pst file to a format usable by
prior Outlook versions.

Try downloading a trial version and use that to convert your .pst file.

There is no way to convert the data from the Outlook 2003 .pst file
without Outlook 2003 being installed somewhere.

Thank you Milly and SgtRich for your help ... knowing that a thing can't be
done is a huge time saver for me ... I do appreciate the feedback.
I'll go look for a trial version of Outlook 2003 and get at 'er.
Thanks again, Kevin
