importing iaf

I am trying to migrate from my old Win 98se machine to a new Vista PC. I
exported all the accounts from OE as iaf files and copied them to the new
machine. Windows Mail impoted the usenet accounts fine, but not the email
accounts - it says there is an error. Outlook does not seem to have a
similar import facility. Is there a way round this? (Even if it means a
different email client)

I tried the .IAF method but also experienced errors.
In some cases I could clear the error by renaming the
OE account using only alpha characters. Import seems to
choke on characters like * and #.

I finally wound up using Vista's Windows Easy Transfer
to transfer all the email accounts, rules, and messages.

I will try renaming the accounts - although they seem normal enough.

The problem with WET is that it does not work with 98se :-(
