importing from outlook express to windows mail

I cannot import my OE addressbook from OE to Windows Mail. Have imported my
message folders from OE to WM, but they arrived all in a folder rather than
individual folders. How do I get rid of the folder and have my message
folders listed as all other local folders.

Simplest method is just to copy the old OE <username>.wab file from your
machine to your Vista setup. Then just double click the WAB file and the
contacts will be imported into your Contacts folder. If you did not copy
the old WAB file, do a search for it on the older computer and you should be
OK.

I've tried that.. it locks up and won't continue. When I try to cancel out of
it, it says something about there being a problem with the program that reads
the wab file.
