Importing excel contact list

I am having problems importing an exported database
through excel. My outlook says that I do not have the
proper "translators" to handle the import. What do I do?

Post more information for starters.

What version of Outlook? If you use Add/Remove programs and use the Office
Tools section, can you do a complete installation?

/i do not have my office xp disk.......can i get this
update somewhere else?
 
No. Why don't you have the Office XP disks?
