Importing dbx files into Windows Mail

My old computer died. I was able to pull all the dbx files (from OE
6), including folders.dbx, from the old hard drive. All dbx files
have read-only unselected and they are all in a single folder on my
new hard drive. Using the correct path, I am able to go through the
Windows Mail import procedure. I am able to choose all folders
(inbox, sent, drafts, deleted, etc) to import. I get no error
messages. When the import process is complete, the folders appear
(but no custom folders [e.g. Billy's E-Mails]) in Windows Mail but
they are empty; there are no messages. I've tried this a number of
times, always with the same result. Any ideas how to deal with this?
Thanks!

Try opening the store folder and WM side by side (resize windows), and drag
and drop the messages to the folders, create new WM folders as needed.

Thanks. It won't let me do that. Says "file does not exist or
another application is using it." If I try to drop the files instead
of the entire folder, it thinks I want to send an email with all those
dbx files as attachments.
