Importing 97 pst files into Outlook 2003

I have been told that there may be issues when importing Outlook 97 pst files
archived from Outlook 97 into Outlook 2003. Is anyone aware of any issues?

None that I'm aware of other than the fact that you should make sure that
you're starting with a new format PST so you'll have the ability for it grow
over 2GB.

I'm not, but then again I usually don't import. I just use File > Open >
Outlook Data file to open older pst files.

Just so I am clear do you mean saving it in ANSI format?

Unicode format (Outlook 2003 format) if I remember correctly. The other
format is usually referred to as "Outlook 97-2002"

Sorry to labour the point but how can you ensure that the pst's are saved in
Unicode format?

When you create a new one make sure you select the right format.
