office 2007, vista, exchange.- when opening outlook, it connects to the
exchange server, and then the curser turns to the loading circle, then it
starts frantically flipping between curser and loading circle and locks up
the outlook window. although all other functions of the pc still work fine.
also, when closing outlook, even on some of our pc's that dont have the
freeze up issue, it throws up an error stating outlook has stopped working
and subsequently opening another error saying outlook is restarting, causing
outlook to not be able to be closed. all updates have been installed and it
is still having these issues, despite trying to run a repair on it or even
reinstalling it. Please Help!!!

Does Outlook behave better when starting it in safe mode?

How to:
* Select Start > Run
* Type: outlook.exe /safe
* OK button
