Import specification errors

After a recent conversion to Access 2003, the import specifications fail to
work. A variety of errors display, usually 'MS jet can not locate file' etc.
Re-trying usually displays 'an error occurred trying to save import/export
specification XXXXXX.

There has been no change in data content or layout. Files that had been
imported prior to the upgrade are fine, and continue to work well. Using the
wizard or defined specs yield the same results.

It should be noted for those who will be trying to help with this problem,
that these are fixed-width text files being brought into Access 2000 file
that was loaded in Access 2003, but was never converted to Access 2003. It
should also be noted that some of the Import Specifications from the previous
version have suddenly dissapeared. Has this issue happened to anyone else?
Any help is much appreciated.
