I have a problem with Outlook 2003 and retrieving emails
from a backup. (I burnt the outlook.pst to CD)
After copying the outlook.pst file to the hard drive, I
get a message saying that the outlook.pst file is not a
personal folders file.

Any idea how I can get my emails back?

Thanks in advance

Michael

Remove the read only attribute the PST acquired while on the CD.

Did you remove the Read Only attribute to the .pst file after transferring
it back onto your hard drive?

Email Client: Microsoft Outlook 2003
News Client (Text): Forté Agent 2.0 www.forteinc.com
News Client (Binaries): News Rover 9.2 www.newsrover.com

I have removed the RO Attributes, and made them the same
as the original outlook.pst file and the same errors &
problems occur.

Any ideas?

Did you try to repair the file with the Inbox Repair Tool?
How was this PST file created?
