Import Excel Database into Microsoft Outlook Contacts

Guest

I am trying to import a some what complex database file into Microsoft
outlook so that I don't have to create contacts for everyone of the names I
have in the Excel database. When I try to import the excel file it gives me
an error about the Excel Translator and that it cannot import the file
because of the "named ranges."

Can someone please help explain this to me, or what needs to be
changed/modified in the excel file so that is can be imported. It would save
a ton of time if I didn't have to recreate all of the contacts. The reason I
am doing this is to create an email blast for clients using Microsoft Outlook.

Thank you!

Its often a good idea to export contacts from OL to an Excel file to check
exactly how the various fields are mapped in excel, these can then be
reproduced on the excel file you wish to import.

Highlight and Name the Range in Excel that you want to export.

Close Excel.

Open Outlook.

File Import/export and select the Excel file and then the named range.

That should get you on track.

I hope this helps you at least a little bit!
