Imap when outlook is configured for ms exchange

My problem is a client of us.
(I do not haw direct access to his computer)

Has a prior mail acount on a exchange server.

He has now got his new webpage from us with email's
the problem is that his isp. who also had the exchange server has blocked
pop3 in ther firewall.

I talked to their tecnichan and he sayd that maby imap would work. but i
cant sem to get imap instaled only pop3 acounts ore internett mail as is
says..
any ideas??

another solotion is a way to bypass their firewall?

Outlook version? If his ISP has Exchange server, why isn't he using the
Exchange service to connect with it?

hmm not shure either xp ore 2003
problem is the exchange server is ovned by the a local goverment, and we do
not haw access to it. I can maby get them to sett it up but i doubt it.
my client uses their line to the internett because its in the same building..

Actually it sounds more like they have Outlook 2000. I'd suggest you confirm
the Outlook version before you do anything else.
