IMAP folder

I set up an imap account, the "deleted items" folder did not download nor is
it available in the folder list.
I can delete items ok, there is no folder where I can see the deleted
messages, where do they go?
Any help would be appreciated.
Using Vista Home Premium

thanks for the reply, I set up 2 aol accounts, in windows mail, which requires using imap, not pop.
One account has an "deleted items" folder, the second does not.
I can see messages I deleted in one account, I cannot see my deleted
messages in the other?

Check your spam , or junk folder

Firstly please QUOTE the post you are replying to.
Secondly IMAP doesn't HAVE a "deleted items" folder. It uses strike-through
and purge instead.

I have the same problem.
Did you solve yours?

Windows Mail can't create folders like "Deleted Post".
On my server there is a folder named Inbox.
Underneath Inbox there is three folders: Drafts, Trash, Sent.
Missing among others: Deleted Items.

Also when deleting mails doesn't show up in Trash(server or local)
They just disapears.

On my old mail-server, there was no problems.
Also using Windows Mail(Vista)
