How can I reconnect? I hadn't used the account in awhile. But, I need to at
this point. What can I do?

Based on the information provided, there is absolutely nothing you can do.
If you provide more information, someone might be able to help you, but
certainly not using the information provided so far.

Have you checked with the provider of the email service? If they have
disabled your account, then there is nothing that anyone here can do. If you
are getting an error message, post the complete and accurate error message
here.

The error message says, "Your IMAP server has closed the connection. This may
occur if you have left the connection idle for too long." Temporary System

Configuration:

That's all the information, it gives.

Thank you, that helps a lot. I probably can't help much but that should be
enough for one of the experts to help you.

Except if you can tell us what antivirus program you are using, that error
sounds like it could be caused by an antivirus program. I know that Norton
is one that often causes problems such as that.

That error can happen if you synchronize too many Gmail folders.
Try this: right-click on the [Gmail] folder, select Synchronization Settings,
Don't Synchronize.

Note: Windows Live Mail works better with Gmail's IMAP.
