IMAP and POP?

I have 2 regular email accounts one uses an IMAP server and the other uses a
POP server. Is it possible to configure Windows mail to handle both
accounts. I set up two accounts with the settings designated for each server
BUT (1) outgoing mail is not working and (2) send receive checks both
accounts when I hit that button (instead of the account I selected). I also
want to set it up so that my IMAP messages remain on the server and are not
downloaded to my local hard drive.

Can someone help me? Thanks.

1. Do you get an error message when you try to send? If so,
right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.

2. In order to check only a single account manually, go into each
account's properties and uncheck "Include this account..."
