When I clicked on the Start Button, I saw that:

Help and Support
Search
Run

Were all missing the images that were next to them usually. Reverted hard
drive but didn't work. Please help!

Try this.

Right click the Start button, select Properties, click the Customize button,
click the Advanced tab, place a check mark in the box for Help and Support,
Run command and Search. Click OK, click Apply, click OK.

That's not what I meant. The Links for all of those are there it's just the
question mark, and such aren't next to them on the list, its a picture that
looks like paper with 3 shapes on it.

I missed that.

Some things to try.

Right click the Taskbar | Properties | Start Menu tab | Customize button |
General tab | Select Large Icons | Click OK | Click Apply | Click OK

Then change back.

Right click the Taskbar | Properties | Start Menu tab | Customize button |
General tab | Select Small Icons | Click OK | Click Apply | Click OK

Obviously, I do not know what's causing the problem.

Try this.

Right click the Start button | Properties | Start Menu tab | Customize
button
Advanced tab | UNCheck: Help and Support, Run Command and Search | OK |
Apply | OK

Reboot.

Then go back and replace the check marks for Help and Support, Run Command
and Search.

Do a Search for IconCache.db and delete it. IconCache.db will be recreated
after you reboot.

IconCache.db is a hidden file.

IconCache.db usually found here >>>
