I've got windows XP home edition and after some troubles with my PC, I'm
missing a key on regedit.
Could someone help me to get it back please.
If I go to regedit and follow the steps:
<HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\ActiveDesktop>
""activeDesktop"" is missing and without it, I can't put any picture on my
desktop background.
Many thanks.

I don't have that key - but you could try -

Active Desktop - Enable/Disable (Line 16)

Instructions are at the top of the page.

Have you tried enabling the active desktop?
Do a search under Help and Support for Active Desktop, then select Add Web
Content To Your Desktop.
Regards Mike.

well, since you think
that key ought to be
in your registry, then
add it.
