i'm missing a default gateway

im missing a default gateway and a connection-specific dns
number for my internet connection...i have an ip address
and i have a connection but when i try to connect to my
broadband internet (with a username and password) it wont
connect...can anyone help me?

Since you are on broadband, try calling the provider and having them reset
the modem (must be done by them). I have found on multiple occasions that
this will fix the problem. Open a command prompt and use the ipconfig command
as soon as the modem is reset and you should have a gateway.
