Illegal System Relocation on re-boot.

A

Andy I.

Hi,

When I re-boot I see this:

"ILLEGAL SYSTEM DLL RELOCATION.

The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not
run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL
C:\WINDOWS\system32\HHCTRL.ocx occupied an address range reserved for
Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a
new DLL."

This happened immediately after installing Microsoft Updates KB915597 and
KB925902, and re-booting.

Help!
Thanks.
Andy I. (WIN XP SP2; IE/OE 6)

I also have the same annoying problem, and i fear it may be affecting the
performance of my computer, however my computer is a windows media centre
edition, so i am unsure if the xp update will solve the problem, the error
message comes up whenever i turn on the computer just like in the other case,
however im not sure what to do..

Yes it does - my neighbour's computer is a HP with Media Centre on it, he had the error
and I applied the patch and all is okay.
