DLL ERROR

Every time I log onto window, I get a DLL error that says this: The system
DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run
properly. The relocation occurred because the
DLLC:\window\systems32\HHCTRL.OCX occupied an address range reserved for
windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a
new DLL.

Some one please tell what this means. When this error come on my screen
goes dim and I can not get it back.

You might want to download and run the hotfix available from
Microsoft.

The Realtek HD Audio Control Panel may not start, and you
receive an error message when you start the computer: "Illegal
System DLL Relocation"
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935448/

Good luck

I have the same problem.. My computer did an update and when I restarted the
computer, I got this error also. And I do notice the realtek icon on the
bottom right is no longer there. What causes that to happen? It was a windows
update and then it screwed up.. I guess I also need to click on the link that
Nepatsfan posted? Thanks..

Have the same problem with DLL error message. Did what you suggested. I am going to shut down and restart to see if it fixed the problem. Thanks for the information. It only took me about 4 hours of trying different things before I stumbled onto this web site. Thanks again

Thanks, nepatsfan.
Your solution worked. If it hadn't been for me stumbling on this site by trail and error, I'd still be cussing this computer. The windows xp news groups site is really great.
