I installed IIS this afternoon and upon rebooting, all of my startup programs
failed. Pop up errors continuously filled my screen. Several reboots later
I just decided to uninstall IIS. This fixed the problem. I'm running XP Pro
with Service Pack 2 already installed. IIS installation required inserting
my original XP disk and I wondered if that was an issue, but from reading the
posts it shouldn't have been.
IIS initially caused one or two program errors that I ignored at first and I
got error messages when invoking the localhost pages provided in the
installation. However, the directory ran fine, displaying .asp pages fine.
Upon rebooting the world of program run errors began. Any solution that you
might know of?
