Ignore duplicates for mailing labels

Taxpayer NameI've tried several of the solutions posted both here and in the
Reports board, but nothing clicks.
I used the Mailing Label Wizard to create labels from a table in Access 2002
SP3.
The fields, in Wizard Query Order are:

Taxpayer Name
Requestor
Req_Address
Req_City
Req_State
Req_ZIP
Date_Entered

I want to generate only one mailing label per Requestor. I've tried dropping
the Taxpayer Name filed and using SELECT DISTINCT but it doesn't want to work.
The Query properties are set to Unique.
Suggestions?
