If you're having SP2 trouble . . .

Wow that is quite a list. It will probably take software vendors about a
month to catch up and fix any problems with patches to their software so you
should constantly check your vendors or manufacturers sites for updates to
your stuff. Personally I don't have any problems but the only program on the
list that I have is the Nortons anti-virus and I never rely on scheduling to
do anything as I prefer to have total control over my machine and only have
it perform functions when I call for it to do so. The same goes for auto
updating. There isn't one program out there that I trust to update properly
including Microsoft so I do them all manually. {]:~)

Ninny, :)

I just means they need their ports opened on the
WFW.

That's what FW's do, yea know?

We really need to K-8 reading comprehention in our
schools and screw the costly computers rip offs.
The Repulic is caving more and more by the week.

Me, too. And I won't be downloading SP2 for months, if ever. My AV,
anti-spyware, and ZoneAlarm are all the protection I need. Well, and
the brains to RUN them and keep them updated.

I recall a simular speeck from a guy in line at the store
around 1:00 am on Aug. 25th, 1995.
He was going on and on about OS 2 and was telling others
to buy it rather than Windows 95.
I mean, I could see a MAC guy freaking out back then, and
I can appreciate the OS 2 / Windows debate in their youth,
but you are just in denail of was is vs. what you want
things to be. :)

Your choice but your missing the world biggest OS party
in 9 years.
And to tell you the truth, it runs very smooth.

Now, come on! Admitt it. You're just beng rebellious
because you want attention. :)

Most of those vendors have already updated their software to be SP2
compatible. The people who are installing SP2 just need to make sure that
all their software is completely updated, to minimize the chance of having a
problem.

Hmm, isn't that what smart users do ALL the time regardless of pending SPs?
