when I try to rename a file( mp3 ,image,etc) I get this
pop up - "if you change a filename extesion, the file may
become unusable" any idea why this message comes up? Is
this a normal windows 2000 pro thing? Any way to turn
this off? Thanks

it only happens when you change the extension. solution, don't change the
extension. you don't get the warning if you change 'oldname.mp3' to
'newmane.mp3'

it may help if you disable 'hide filename extensions' (tools > folder
options > view TAB > advanced settings)
