If I export my contacts as a csv file, will I lose them in Outlook

I want to create a csv file of all my contacts and put it on my destop to
later retrieve and add to my earthlink webmail address book. If I create the
csv file via "import and export" in Outlook, will it do anything to my
current contacts as they appear in Outlook now?

No, exporting just makes a copy of your data in another file.

Thanks Sue. I was pretty sure it wouldn't alter my contacts, but couldn't
find any info that confirmed it, and I didn't want to take a blind chance on
it. I appreciate your prompt response...thanks again! :) Lo

A side note - if you're making the export so you can transfer the data to
another Outlook, don't. Exporting is rarely the way to transfer data from
Outlook to Outlook.
