iexplorer.exe in task manager

My computer has been running very slowly. I have tried several things to try
to speed it up, including virus scan and spyware removal. I opened the task
manager and noticed that iexplorer is using 95-97% of my CPU, when IE is not
even running. I also noticed I have at least 2 iexplorer.exe in the
processes. I have terminated the process, and it just starts the other
iexplorer using the same percent of my CPU. Please advise.

First eliminate any spyware.
