iexplore.exe 100% cpu usage

Okay, ever since upgrading SP 2, though it might not be
related, if I try and run Internet Explorer for the first
time, it will freeze up while displaying half of the
page, the message "there are errors on the page" will
show up in the bottom left hand corner, and the CPU usage
will be 100%. I have to CLT+Alt+delete to get the task
manager open to kill iexplore.exe and run it again to get
it to work. When I open it the second time, it works
okay. I disabled every add-on listed and tried it with
Norton AV uninstalled along with Divx uninstalled, same
result happened this morning. Any ideas?

Thanks

Are there any clues as to what is failing in Event Viewer?

Never even thought of the Event Viewer. Here's the entry
that shows up:

Hanging application iexplore.exe, version 6.0.2900.2180,
hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address
0x00000000.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

The site that the viewer takes me to doesn't have any
info on the error message.

I'm strongly considering a system rebuild.
Thanks again.
