Hi,

I have windows 2000 with service pack 4. i am having
problem with my external firewire hard disk which i
connect using PCMCIA card. I can see the device in the
device manager.. but when i try to copy files on the hard
disk i get an error message "Window - Delayed write
failed". After this if i see the property of the device in
the device managed it says device is not working properly.
Can some one please help me.

Thanks in advace..

Regards,
Srini

This sounds v familiar and I'm afraid I can't offer any help. I have spent what seems like days trying to get a Firewire Hard Disc to work with Windows XP and I also get the write problem. I can only see that the 'Desktop Hard Drive 1394 to IDE IEEE 1394 SBP2 Device' driver is not working as it is this that seems to crash. Have you found any answers - I'll keep looking elsewhere.
