Hi,I have a proble with my PC and it is this: Some days
ago I bought a fire wire IEEE 1394 PCI card< I installed
it and turned my PC on, It was supposed that windows will
recognize it as Texas instruments OHCI compliant IEEE
1394 Host controller, but it did not!! So now, I am
supposed to install the driver manually but, I do not
know how to do it (because I do not know much about
computers), so please, would someone help me by telling
me how, firt find the driver and then install it? I will
be so thankfull, thank you in advance.

Sincerelly yours, Silfo.

Hi, Silfo!
Is your PCI card recognized/activated in your BIOS?

There are two methods:

1. Add New Hardware wizard from the Control Panel. If it asks for a
drive for 1394 card, point it to the folder or CD where the driver is.

2. Load Device Manager (see Computer Management console admin tool),
if a device is shown that it cannot recognise (eg. PCI Unknown etc)
then open Properties, click Drivers, select Update driver and point to
the driver folder on hard disk where your 1394 driver is.
