IEEE 1394 Driver Issue

I have a Cannon MV500i digital video camera and a Dazzle
card. But the 1394 driver says there's a probem with the
hardware. This used to work but has suddenly stopped.
Any idea why?

Just try removing everything driver and all software and then reinstall
it.
 
Tried that. No joy.

I've even formatted the hard drive and reinstalled
windows. No joy.
