IE7 will not start in XP limited account

Mozydan

Hello,
I have Windows XP Professional - SP2
I Have just installed IE7.0.5730.11 - 128-bit

In the Administrator account, IE7 works just fine.
When I go to "Guest" account and try to start IE7, it tries to open:
runonce.msn.com/runonce2.aspx
the page does not open and I get the standard message:
"Internet Explorer has encountered a problem..."

I have reinstalled IE7, it still does not work.
I tried creating aan account with limited privileges and open IE7 from there,
but still the same.

Can you help fix the problem?

You should post your question in the IE7 newsgroup *after* you spend some
time reading through the posts there. The IE7 newsgroup is:

microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

There are a huge number of posts so it would be smart to start by going to
Google Groups Advanced Search. Use a search term that describes your
problem, constrain the search to the IE7 newsgroup and the date to very
recently. You can also check MVP Sandi Hardmeier's canonical IE7 site.
Sandi has workarounds, known issues, troubleshooting, and links. This may
be the only site you need.

And no, I'm sorry but I don't have your answer or I would tell you now. ;-)

Don't even bother with the "guest" account - in Pro it should be turned OFF
as it's a security risk.
If you want casual users to be able to use your machine, then create a
Limited user account and call it "Visitor" or some such.....

Sorry, I am not familiar with forums.
I will look, but I did my homework before and did not find related topics.

Anyway, thank you for the link.
