Ever since I installed Internet Explorer 7 last week, all of my search

The same as the old IE6, Turn the AutoComplete On under the Content Tab.

Click Start >> Control Panel >> Double click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options.
On the IE properties windows you will see these Taps:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs |
Advanced.
Under General tab click on Settings under Browsing history make sure these
settings are correct:
Disk space to use (8 - 1024MB) [ 120 ][v]
(recommended : 50 - 250 MB)
Current Location:
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp Internet files.
History:
Days to keep pages in History: [ 30 ][v]
Click [Ok]
Click on Advanced Tab and make sure this box checked:
[ ] Use inline Autocomplete
Click [OK] and Hit F5.
