IE7 no longer opens unless run as administrator...

Just finished installing Vista Ultimate onto a clean HDD. IE7 opened
just fine. But after installing a slew of apps, suddenly now when I fire
off IE7 to run (or click a link in another app that would automatically
launch it in IE, IE opens, but has the following error in a dialog (upon
clicking OK, it closes IE):

Runtime Error!
Program: c:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplorer.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual
way.
Title of the dialog box: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

However, if I right-click IE and select "Run as administrator" it opens
just fine.

Ideas?

Hi,

Sounds like a plugin problem, one or more of them only wants to run in an
elevated position. Try selectively disabling them under "manage add-ons" in
Internet Options.

Bingo... I disabled a handful of ones that I know I didn't use that some
apps just love to install, restarted the browser, and that fixed it. No
idea which one it was, but that's something I can figure out later.

Thanks Rick!
