I have IE installed from a restore after I have removed it in a lster
restore. The second restore therefore tried to install it because that's
what it was expecting. It is IE7 I see now but:

there is no menu bar
I cannot select the toolbars by right click
I cannot get to properties from the Start menu icon - the dilaog does not
appear

and worse still I cannot remove it and go back to IE6 because missing files
causew the uninstall too be aborted.

Are there registry changes I can make?

or

Is there somewhere I can save a coipy of IE7 to disk and then reinstall over
the current (beta) version - I aborted the online download from MS after 2
hours

Thanks

Same problem here trying to install the Microsoft Update download of IE7
over IE7 beta 3. The beta uninstall aborted, causing my system to be
unusable. What gives?

I managed to download IE7 released version but it won't install over the
beta
