The best fix so far is to uninstall IE7.

I have done the IE7 "uninstallation" fix as well.

It now works, but in a limited capacity. It crashes just as it did with IE7
installed, but only when I attempt to open the Video Effects window.
Otherwise it appears to be fine. But obviously, the effects option is a big
part creating an interesting presentation.

Has anyone experienced this or know of any quick fixes that I could employ
to resolve this issue?

Thanks,
Dave

The message about acceleration was
directed to Dave who stated he already
uninstalled IE7.

Direct me to a statement from Microsoft
that states IE7 is not compatible with
Movie Maker.

To fix your effects the only way is to do a Smart Restore and restore your
System to Before you started to install IE7 then i cleaned the Registry up
using a claener Tweek now i found to be the best a safest cos IE7 put aloud
of Junk on there hope this helps
