Hi
I hope someone may be able to help
I have a XP IE6 SP2 pc's accessing a website on IIS 6
I have a jsp that builds the url through javascript pages to point to a
download of JRE

On some pc's this redirect fails - error in the browser - object
expected
This only happens on some pc's

i have verified the LAN and IE settings between a working and not
working pc and they are set equally

I have also ensured allthe latest MS updates have been applied to the
pc's.

STRANGE issue -
When I include a colon in the URL after the dns name http://name:/x/y
it works!!!
but
http://name/x/y does NOT work
Any ideas / help appreciated

Hi kh,
I don't know why the ":" makes a difference, but check your Hosts and
firewall settings to see if you are blocking the domain.
Guess... aslo check your permissions on the folder in IIS6.

Regards.

Hi kh,
Please post back with your findings for the benefit of all.
