check e-mail in Outlook Express w/ no trouble but IE Times
out w/ " cannot find Page" error. I have removed and
reinstalled IE6 as well as the latest patches. Does anyone
have a clue as to what the issue is?

I have an identical issue. It's driving me insane.
Uninstalled IE6 on XP, reinstalled. Ran sfc /scannow. Etc
etc. Any other app (not relying on the IE base for web
stuff) works fine, such as Mozilla, Outlook Express, etc.
Fire up IE or any app relying on the IE services (such as
Weatherbug), and it goes to the cannot find server page, as
if I got an NXDOMAIN back.. but I didn't.

I suspect a piece of broken spyware as hooked itself into
the domain resolution inside of IE or something like that.
I've searched everywhere and can't find jack on this issue.

I'm close to reinstalling XP at this point, this is a huge PIA.

Anyone have a solution?

Wow, I, like you, am only discovering that this is quickly becomming a common problem
while searching for ways to fix my IE. Post here, and anywhere you can, if you ever find a
solution.
