How to re-install IE6 and Outlook 2003?
I was given a link to a program that would "uninstall ie6" great. I
ran it and IE6 showed as removed. When I tried to reinstall it I got
part way and then got an error message(sorry I did not write it down).
I reinstalled SP2, still no luck. Some progs eg Diskkeeper (a defrag
prog) gives an error message saying it needs IE6. Short of doing a
major reinstall of WIN-XP Pro how do I reinstall MS IE6? Any efforts
tell me I have a later version allready installed. Makes me glad that
Netscape & Mozzilla exist!
My old help plea was:
"I am having a problem with both IE6 & Outlook not starting since the
latest round of MS updates and patches.
I have had to start using Mozilla (which is good) and outlook express.
I have about 1500 emails in the outlook2003 in various folders and it
was becomming slugish. I have been using Eudora for a while now and
it does not seem to suffer from large number of files.
I thought I would re-install IE6 but when I try to d/l the latest from
M/S I get a message telling me I have the latest and that is that.
Had a quick look in M/S Knowledge base
Any Ideas please"
