I am unable to close any ie browser. Can minimise and
max. Unable to do live windows update just hangs when
checking for version. I did install a winmxplus program
from the net and it wrote some scripting. since then it
has not worked. There is no uninstall for winmxplus. I
have run sfc /scannnow and did not fix. I uninstalled
ie6 through the registry and reinstalled as per kb
article 318378. Please help computer now hangs whilst on
net. There are no error messages.

Well, you could contact the makers of this Winmxplus program for tech
support, but if it is spyware or evil, you aren't going to get any. The
easiest thing might be to do a System Restore to before you installed
the program.
