IE6

I am having a bear of a problem with IE6. I am using IE6SP2 with updates,
until last Sunday. When I open IE, it comes up, but not page comes up.
Nothing. All I get is an hourglass. The menu bottons do not work. Example
is Favorites, it shows the favorites list but will not open any of the pages.
I have absolutely no idea what happened to cause this. Anyone have any
suggestions? This happens on my desktop. I am currently using my laptop to
try to correct the problem.
Thanks

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.net/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post

I appreciate the reply, but nothing has helped. I have tried reinstalling
XPSP2, earlier restore points, as far back as 6 weeks.
Thanks

PA Bear,
I am still having the same problem with IE. Is there a place where I can
get a complete list of .reg files that control IE, so that I may see what
..reg files I am missing? When this started happening, I deleted the
uninstall programs for the fixes. Could this be the problem?
Thanks
