IE6 won't open sound editor

When I click on a WAV file link, IE6 tells me that the file is
corrupted and the defauult program (CoolEdit) can't open it. I know
the files to be normal, correct files, and I can open them in CoolEdit
after I save them to my HD. I cannot get IE6 to stop this behavior --
any ideas?

Have you tried to change your default .wav player to something other than
Cool Edit and then tried to open a .wav file in IE? (To rule out a problem
with Cool Edit and it's compatibility with IE). Have you tried to reinstall
Cool Edit?

Cool Edit is now owned by Adobe and it's now called Audition.
