A week and a half ago, my IE6 refused to open and
continues to give me a rundll32 error in unknown. I
posted the problem here May 3, 9:51 pm) and I have since
spent days and days doing all the recommendations you
offered but to no avail.
I am to the point where I think the only solution is to
erase my hard drive and start over.... My problem is that
I have numerous links in my IE favorites that I would
like to keep but I am unsure of where they are located on
the hard drive. Can someone please direct me here?
thanks,
deidra

(for XP/NT): Your Favorites are kept under the folder
C:\Documents and Settings\?????\Favorites ===>>note
that ???? will be your login or userid, for example:
C:\Documents and Settings\deidra\Favorites <<===
so you can copy that folder, and once you restore your IE,
you can copy the folder to the same location, and your
links will be restored.

Good luck

I'm using ME, I don't have documents and settings file.
But thanks, still looking. I found a favorites shell but
not sure that is what I need or a special file that has
them indexed....
