IE6 will not work with drop down boxes

I have a friend who is running IE6 with Win98. He can surf the web fine, he
can select a link from a drop down box but IE will not go to the page
selected. Another strange event, while trying to configure his wireless
router he can logon to change the config he can type a new ESSID for example
but when he hits the apply button it doesn’t work.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Try the following and see if it helps:

First:

Safely Delete the Temporary Internet Files

You cannot open a new IE window or nothing occurs after you click a link

If these steps do not resolve your problem, or you need help with the above,
