IE6 will not browse

Matt

I am running on Windows ME. When I sign on to the internet
it says that I am connected, but I cannot browse any
websites on IE6. It keeps telling me that the page cannot
be displayed. I contacted my ISP and it is not a problem
on their end because the modem is connecting with them
fine. When I use the ping command to contact the ISP I get
a response. I went into IP configuration and tried to ping
the DNS server and the IP address, and they both conect
fine. When I try to ping any other server such as my
Outlook Express mail server, I get no response. What could
the problem be?

Thank you so much. I have done everything trying to
figure out why I was also getting this message. I really
thought it had something to do with our server or a
windows update we recently installed. Our internet
provider had me download ad-aware, but that didn't fix it.
CWShredder did the trick.

I can finally search the internet again. I think I am
going to send this quick fix address to my internet
provider so if anyone else calls them with this problem,
they might be able to help them.

Thanks again.
Rhonda
