IE6 vs Netscape 7

When IE6 opens a new window [File/New/Window], the new
window opens that repeats the current web site that I'm
viewing. I prefer a BLANK window, that displays no web
site.? Netscape7 does this.

Netscape7 can also be configured to disable "pop-ups"
when browsing. [Edit/Preferences/Privacy]

Netscape7 can simultaneously view multiple email
addresses. Messages for one address can be
clicked/dragged into another's folder. You can chose the
sender's email address when you compose a message; the
sender is not hidden while composing. There is no need
to switch identities or logoff identities.

Until I bought my new computer recently with IE6/OE pre-
installed, I have been a Netscape7 user, on a Win95 OS.
It worked great, just a bit slow.

Will IE/OE have any such capabilities or updates?

And I prefer the new window to have a copy of the current page. Maybe an
option is needed to specify this behaviour?

IE for WinXP SP2 will have such a feature.
Netscape7 can simultaneously view multiple email
addresses. Messages for one address can be
clicked/dragged into another's folder. You can chose the
sender's email address when you compose a message; the
sender is not hidden while composing. There is no need
to switch identities or logoff identities.

And Eudora Pro can do even better. Do you really have to use the email
program that comes with your browser?

There is nothing stopping you from using NN7 on your new PC. Though you
might be better off using another Mozilla-based browser -- e.g. Mozilla or
Firebird -- as they are more up-to-date.

No major changes in IE are expected until the next version of Windows
appears, in mid-2006.
