IE6 triggers system shutdown

GETAWAY

Have read similar posts, but my shutdown problem seems different:
I am experiencing system shutdown after I connect to the internet and start
Internet Explorer. This problem has suddenly occurred.

Following are partial error messages:

First: "The system will be shutdown under the NT authority System, save all
work.."

Second: "...the system process. windows/system 32/Isass.exe terminated
unexpectedly due to error code 107341819"

The system then restarts, all non/web functions and programs appear normal,
but the error repeats when I try to start I.E. 6.0

The system was clean before this problem, NAVirus updates and scan 2 days
before, SpyBot and AdAware ran clean, Registry was cleaned. I checked the
last 3 registry logs to make sure that no file "Isass.exe" had been
accidentally deleted. I have made no system changes recently.

System is a P4, 2.0Ghz, 512 RAM, drive is consolidated and only about 40%
full. Running behind NIS firewall.

Any suggestions?
