IE6 stops working

Browsing fine then click on a link and get the message site found waiting
for reply and the blue bar creeps across at a snails pace. way out is to
reboot.
 
This coincided with a change of ISP

This strongly points to outdated DNS server IP addresses.

Contact your new ISP and ask them for the most current
DNS server IP addresses and replace the previous ones.
