IE6 SP2 slow page loading

C

Carol B.

Please help. My pages take 30 seconds or more to
download when I go to a new page or web site. I tried
redownloading IE6 and get a message "a required resource
cannot be located" but I have no idea what that resource
is.

I ran "javascript:navigator.appMinorVersion" recommended
to someone else and this is my result:

;SP1;Q810847;Q813951;Q813489;Q330994;Q818529;Q822925;Q8287
50;Q824145;Q832894;

I've deleted all cookies and temp internet files. I have
plenty of free space. Downloading a file seems to work
fine, it's only trying to open a page or move around
within a site that takes forever.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
