IE6 problems - Zone Alarm at fault?

I have recently been experiencing problems with IE6 hanging and requiring a
hard reset/reboot to clear. I have run CW Shredder, Spybot, AdAware and have
not found any spyware/adware/parasites that could be the root cause.

I have, however, recently downloaded and installed Zone Alarm v5.0.590.015.
It would appear that many others have found that after upgrading ZA, they
too have had problems with IE hanging/freezing and also problems with their
anti virus software.

Maybe this is the common link in all of the recent posts regarding IE
crashes.

Apparently a Zone Alarm fix will be forthcoming.

Uninstall that version of ZA and back up to version 4.5.594.000 - it runs
just fine.

As you noticed - there are many problems with version 5.
